Tried all Norton instructions and still wont start.
Licence needs renewing at the end of the month will renewal magically
solve all problems.
Norton has also failed to stop something that causes a steady data leak
on my dialup system. Norton Virus update wont give definitions says its
server wont reply but loads redirect and catalog.
Re-installed Norton System works therefore my virus definitions are not
current. Norton says Says licence renewal due at the end of September so
should be ok.
Apparently no email address to direct these questions to.

What should I buy next time ?

Norton is known to be problematic on many systems. Highly recommend System
Suite at www.v-com.com When it was first developed by Ontrack Systems it was
rated #1 above Norton and McAfee and still is, just keeps on getting better.
I've used it since version 3 and it isn't buggy at all. It all uses Trend
Micro as it's anti virus engine.
