I have Norton Antivirus 2005 installed on XPSP2, and I think the
Internet Worm Protection function is not working as it should, but I am
not sure.
When I run a test program that acts as a server, the Internet Worm
Protection silently blocks the program without offering me any
allow/disallow prompt like the Windows firewall does. In the Norton
Activity log, it says
Details: No logged in account. The present default
action is to "block" communications.
Local address: All local network adapters(59645).
Process name is "C:\projects\tcpserver\Debug\tcpserver.exe.
Since the installation of Norton recommends I disable the Windows
firewall, I would expect it to offer at least as much functionality.
Thanks.
