Post subject: Symantec Anti-virus installation problem
Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

I've been running symantec antivirus 10 for a few months and noticed that
the live update wasn't working. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling
it, however it does not fulling install. I stalls around 13%, and cannot
only be forcefully closed or rebooted. When my computer comes back up, SAV
GUI starts, but the actually scanning stuff doesn't work. I can't seem to
get it installed. i used a copy they give us at work, and a copy of the
same version they give us at school w/ the same results on both. I'm
running XP SP2. Could there be something wrong w/ the microsoft installer
or xp? I can't find any error logs. Is there a specific place to check?

thanks,
