Hello,

I was just wondering if any of you have used Panda Titanium Anti-Virus
Software? I had heard that its the best around. I am currently using
Norton and was thinking about switching. Norton has missed a few viruses in
the past weeks and was wondering if Panda might be more reliable. I am
running windows XP home and have NSTF format.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello......I've used Panda Titanium for almost a year now. It's very
reliable, has caught several virus in emails. It updates within minutes of
an internet connection, every day, without fail. Some days lately, it
updated twice, with the new virus and worms being rampant on the web. I
have two problems with it. First, it seems to conflict with the ZoneAlarm
Firewall at startup and shutdown. I solved that by disabling it at startup,
and manually disabling it before shutdown. It's no problem to manually
enable it after the firewall is up and running. Second, it doesn't have the
option to turn off automatic email scanning, which has infrequently caused
receiving mail to hang. In that case, I have to disable it to download the
mail. That hasn't happened too often.

When you consider how much trouble a virus or worm can cause your system, I
think it's worth the trouble, and I'll be renewing my license soon. If you
have any questions, let me know. charlie R

I have a question about panda titanium. Let say, you schedule a scan at
midnight, and before you go to bed you log off. Will panda scan your
machine? My Norton won;t scan it, and I just tried McAfee virus scan 7 and
it won't do it either. Looks like the scan engine is not running as a
service and thus will not do the scan.

I would also recommend NOD32.

However, I have just moved to Mcafee Internet Suite. Reason? Fed up of
having to update firewalls, Trojan programs AV, etc, etc.

I'm not bothered about Mcafee slowing my system down, I jsut want a
'package' that will autoupdate everything.

But NOD32 is an Excellent AV program. Virus removal is not one of it's best
features though.
