I installed Norton Systemworks, but the Antivirus software can only
delete about 25% of the viruses is detects.

It says "Delete Failed" next to the ones it can't delete.

You click on the name of the virus, and it takes you to a web page
which details how you should go about deleting the virus.

I follow the instructions, but 9 times out of 10 I don't find the
registry entries it talks about.

I also have run Norton Antivirus in safe mode, but it still fails to
delete the viruses.

One good thing about Norton Antivirus is that, when it detected the
Mydoom virus on my computer, and I went to its web site, it had a
piece of software you download which deletes the virus from your
computer.

So I think the Norton folks are trying, but I think they need to try a
bit harder.
