Ad-Aware 1.03 Personal SE

This program saved my computer. Luckily it was already installed
when I noticed that something was making my computer have constant
disk activity even when not connected to the internet. Unfortunately,
whatever was afflicting my system also disabled my mouse. If you
would make your program more hotkey-friendly, then I would consider
subscribing.

Dave!

I run this program; It has very limited hotkey support. If your mouse
is non functional, Your in trouble with this program. I cannot find
hotkeys to control it. Do you know of any?

Dave......I am still at 1.03 because 1.05 was causing a lot of freezing. No
big problem if you still use 1.03 in my opinion.

Cheers...Heather

I was under the impression that it is v1.03 that had the bugs. One of the reasons Adaware
was upgraded to a newer revision.

I believe it was 1.04 that briefly caused the most problems......or the
first 1.05 one. I experienced freezing and dropped back to 1.03 which works
just fine.

Hello Heather and David:
When I look at these posts about problems with either one of those three
versions from Ad-awareSE, I cannot help but think that it is not the
versions, which are at fault, but the OS it is installed to, or the machine
itself.
As long as I can remember, I never had any problems with any of the program
versions from Ad-aware.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Harry, old and wants to know.

*You are wrong*.......comes to my mind.

Harry, you and I are using the same O/S.....and you know a lot of people had
'freezing problems'......not just us WinME users.

It has probably been corrected, but the version of 1.05 that I downloaded
(unopened) today is exactly the same as the corrected 1.05 I d/l'ed some
time ago. I may open it......but 1.03 works just fine.

Heather......

Figgs:

I have used Adaware SE v1.05 on; Win98, WinME, Win2K, WinXP and Win2K Server -- No Problems
! None.

So, why do YOU think Lavasoft would release a v1.04 and then a v1.05 subsequent to v1.03 ?

Can you get updates?

The site seems to indicate updates are for 1.05 only.

Yes.....I have all along. Today was the first time I saw that they were
supposed to be for version 1.05, grin. They download and *settle in* just
like they always have. And I rarely get spyware cookies with SpywareBlaster
on here. Plus I often just manually take the known ones out of my cookie
folder.

I guess they just started saying that to get us to use 1.05......I will ask
on the Spyware Forum to be sure.

Cheers and a Merry Xmas, Quirky.....Heather
