Apparently there is now a new version of AVG (8.0).

Anyone try it yet?

yup, I tried some of the versions of AVG 8.0, the standalone version
seems to be working fine (it has a muche better detection engine than
the 7.5) however the web shield component is a little bit buggy yet
(some incompabilities with msn messenger and so on...).
