Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

Hi,

I have AVG 7.0 server version running on a W2K Domain Controller. It
looks like I should be able to schedule updates and tests. However,
it does not appear to successfully run these scheduled items unless a
user is logged in. As soon as you login to the server the scheduled
update and tests runs from the last scheduled time.

Has anyone worked with this scenario?

Thanks in advance,
Diane

Diane,

In the control center, you can access the scheduled tasks. Then under
the properties tab of the scheduled task, it allows you to specify
whether you want to run the test for all users or logged in users.
Also, there are a few more options on the last tab, one which I
believe says resume test as soon as user is logged in. That's why the
test is starting as soon as someone logs in to the server. The other
option you have is to keep a user logged in and simply lock the
computer so the tests will still run.

Hope this helps....
