Panda AV (resource hog) and Fatal Exceptions at the Window..

Hi,
I installed Panda AV on my Win 98SE machine (PII, 384 MB RAM), because of
subscription/Live Update issues with NSW 2003. I uninstalled NSW by the end of
August 2004, as per excessively detailed instructions, and reinstalled NSW 2003
without the AV portion. My computer is usually slowed down by Panda, with the
mouse waiting for CPU cycles before it can move & the keyboard doing the smae
kind of thing. People on newsgroups have written that Panda is less of a
resource hog than Norton, but on my machine the reverse seems to be true.
I read on one UK website (I'm in the USA), that Panda crashes the machine
when it goes to Windows Update. That is one of my problems with Panda too. I
get 2 Fatal Exceptions: 0E @ 0028:C1B0A77 & 0D @ 0246:017747FB for my Default
User; and 0E @ 0028:C1B037FC & 0D @ 0246:017747FB for my personal user. I lose
stuff on the System Tray and lose my Active Desktop when the screen comes back.
I have to reboot most of the times when I get this error. I also find that when
I close my browser, or a Word Program, or OE6; that sometimes triggers an
unnamed fatal exception (no BSOD, but it sure acts like one) that crashes
everything and I must reboot. I sometimes get GDI.exe errors from Panda; like it
used up all the resources of GDI.exe, and I have to reboot.

What is the problem here?

What has Panda's support folks told you about this problem? You did
contact them? My understanding is their very expensive subscription
includes technical support, 24/7.
