Any advantages to upgrading to AntiVirus '06? What are the differences
between 05' and 06'?

TIA

I could go on as to the lack of advantage in using any of Symantec's
commercial bloatware, but it would just fall on deaf ears.

Fact is, Symantec, McAfee and some others come out with a "new version"
every year for marketing purposes. Those who fear they don't have that
latest version will scoop it right up.

It's called clever sales techniques.

No, what do you use. I only use symantec because that is what I have
always used, and never had a problem.

I use a couple of different products, but that's not important. Use
whatever you want. If you're in love with Symantec, keep giving them
your money. I choose not to.

Ever used Kaspersky? I hear they might be good.

Might would be an understatement. Their detection rate, especially for
trojans, is phenominal. Although I would prefer the older versions'
interface, like anything else it goes through changes.

Actually, if one keeps their head out of their ass just about any up to
date AV product will suffice.
